Interpreter Agreement

Last updated: July 2026

This agreement explains the expectations for interpreters who use InterpretNow to access booking opportunities.

Interpreter relationship

Interpreters using InterpretNow are expected to operate as independent service providers, not employees of InterpretNow, unless a separate written agreement states otherwise. Interpreters control whether to accept available bookings and are responsible for the services they provide.

Interpreter qualifications

Interpreters must provide accurate profile information, language capabilities, experience, certifications, specializations, and availability. Interpreters should only accept bookings they are qualified and able to perform professionally.

Professional standards

Interpreters agree to be timely, professional, respectful, accurate, impartial, and prepared. Interpreters should not add personal opinions, alter meaning, omit material information, or act outside the scope of the interpretation assignment.

Confidentiality

Interpreters must keep client information, appointment details, interpreted communications, and platform records confidential except where disclosure is required by law or necessary to complete the booking.

Bookings and availability

Interpreters may view and accept available jobs based on their profile, location, language, plan access, and platform rules. Once a booking is accepted, the interpreter is expected to attend, arrive on time, and complete the assignment unless a legitimate issue prevents service.

Rates, payouts, and fees

Interpreters may set their hourly rate where available. The platform calculates booking amounts, platform fees, and interpreter payout estimates based on booking duration, interpreter rate, and membership plan.

Current interpreter platform fee rules include Basic plan at 7% and Pro plan at 5% on completed bookings, unless updated by InterpretNow. Final payout timing may depend on payment status, booking completion, Stripe processing, disputes, or administrative review.

Subscriptions

Interpreter access may require a paid membership plan. Basic and Pro membership benefits, monthly price, job limits, platform fees, and trial status are displayed in the membership dashboard. Interpreters are responsible for managing subscription changes or cancellations through the billing portal.

Cancellations and no-shows

Interpreters should not cancel accepted bookings without good reason. Repeated cancellations, late arrivals, missed appointments, or no-shows may affect visibility, eligibility, ratings, payouts, or account status.

Reviews and performance

Clients may review completed bookings. InterpretNow may use reviews, job completion history, complaints, response time, and other performance signals to manage interpreter visibility, approval status, or platform access.

Prohibited conduct

Interpreters may not harass clients, discriminate, submit false credentials, bypass platform payments, solicit off-platform payment for platform bookings, share confidential information, impersonate others, accept jobs they are not qualified for, or misuse platform data.

Suspension or removal

InterpretNow may suspend, restrict, or remove interpreter access for misconduct, inaccurate information, failed verification, poor performance, safety concerns, nonpayment, fraud, policy violations, or legal risk.

Taxes

Interpreters are responsible for determining and handling their own tax obligations related to income earned through bookings, including any reporting, filings, or payments required by law.

Changes to this agreement

InterpretNow may update this Interpreter Agreement as the platform, payment structure, verification process, or operating requirements change. Continued use of the interpreter dashboard means the interpreter accepts the updated agreement.
